LaBelle to celebrate 25th annual Harvest Fest

LaBELLE, Mo. -- The 25th annual LaBelle Harvest Fest will be Friday through Sunday with the theme "Silver Anniversary -- Over the Years."

Friday events include a free supper from 5 to 7 p.m., a performance from the Camden Scifres from 5 to 6 pm., the Little Mr. and Miss LaBelle from 6 to 7 p.m., a memorial walk at 7 p.m. and a Haywire performance from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Saturday events include a car, motorcycle, truck and tractor show begining at 9 a.m.; a parade at 10 a.m.; silent auction from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; "American Idol" contestant Jared Keim from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; a baby show at noon; the Heartland Christian Academy Band and kiddie parade at 1:30 p.m.; ventriloquist and magician Mike Niehaus at 2 p.m.; and a pet show at 3 p.m.

Gillespie Family will play at 5 p.m., with music from singer-songwriter Zeke Cernea starting at 6 p.m. After raffle winners are announced at 8 p.m., with lip-syncing starting at 8:30 p.m.

Sunday events include church services in the park at 11 a.m. and dinner at the LaBelle Senior Center at 11 a.m. Cleanup will begin at 1 p.m.

Festival visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Crafts, food and bingo will be available throughout the weekend.
