Monday was the first day of school for many area children, and Staff Photographer Michael Kipley spent some time at Berrian School in Quincy to capture the start of the school year.
Berrian kindergartners got off to a good start with a song led by teacher Lisa Machold to help them understand what school is all about - and to have some fun doing it.
