Staff Writer Maggie Menderski joined The Herald-Whig in October 2012 as a general news reporter. She serves as our primary health reporter and provides coverage of Northeast Missouri and arts/entertainment.
Maggie grew up in St. Louis and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She minored in theater at Mizzou.
Maggie most recently was a staff writer for the Marshall (Mo.) Democrat-News, where she earned five awards from the Missouri Press Association. She previously had been a health and enterprise reporter for the Columbia Missourian, and was an editorial intern for St. Louis Magazine, KC Magazine and Call Newspapers in St. Louis.
