Joel and Mildred Croxton

Joel "Jude" and Mildred Croxton, of rural Huntsville and Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Golden, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary and their 90th birthdays with a combined open house celebration from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Virginia at Scripps Park in Rushville. Their children will host the event. No gifts are requested.

Mr. Croxton and the former Mildred Albers were married Jan. 24, 1943, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Golden.

Mrs. Croxton is a daughter of Eilert and Minnie Goldenstein Albers. Mr. Croxton is a son of Joel Dwight and Bertha Peck Croxton.

They are the parents of four sons, Joel Ronald (Dixie) Croxton of rural Huntsville, Richard Croxton of Farmington, Mo., James (Sharon) Croxton of Springfield and Fred (Vicki) Croxton of Allen, Texas. They have six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Mr. and Mrs. Croxton spent their lives farming in the Mindale community near Camden prior to their retirement and were active members of the Shiloh United Methodist Church until its closing. They are members of Camden United Methodist Church in Camden.
