Miss Emily Kathleen Powers and Alex Michael Berryman were united in marriage Aug. 11 in St. Francis Catholic Church.

The bride is a daughter of Dr. Timothy and Laura Powers of Quincy. The bridegroom is a son of Scott and Mary Berryman, also of Quincy.

Deacon Wayne Zimmerman conducted the 1 p.m. ceremony. Readers were Theresa Spear, Jeff Spear and Julie Regner.

Maid of honor was Rachel Powers. Bridesmaids were Regan Berryman, Jenna Bichsel, Amy Bardezbain, Christina Manouphath and Maggie Henke.

Best man was Gabe White. Groomsmen were Brian Pflibsen, Josh Bichsel, Justin Harvey, Chris Otte and Justin Rains.

Ushers were Josh Paquette, Daniel Hawkins and Rob Royston.

Flower girls were Avery Hlavaty, Riley Johnson and Jordyn Johnson.

A rehearsal dinner was held in the Pier Restaurant. A reception was held in the Ambiance.

The newlyweds are at home in Quincy after honeymooning in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The bride graduated from the University of Kansas with a master's degree in sports management. She is employed by Prince Minerals.

The bridegroom graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in strategic communications. He is employed by Town Square Media.
