Jerry and Sharon Ideus

Jerry and Sharon Ideus of Carthage will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception after church, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 4 in the Welcome Center at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carthage. The event will be hosted by their family. Family and friends are invited; the couple requests no gifts.

Mr. Ideus and the former Sharon Iunghuhn were married Nov. 3, 1962, in the Methodist Church in Augusta.

Mrs. Ideus is a daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Iunghuhn. Mr. Ideus is a son of the late Bohle and Sadie Ideus.

They are the parents of Tammy (Tim) Snyder and Tara (James) Pettit, all of Carthage. They have six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Mr. Ideus is a retired school teacher, having taught at Dallas City and Nauvoo Colusa schools.

Mrs. Ideus, a retired registered nurse, worked at Memorial Hospital in Carthage for 40 years and then at North Adams Home in Mendon for six and one-half years. She is also part-owner of a shared living home, Almost Home, in Carthage.

They are members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Carthage.
