Mr. Boyd and the former Miss Melinda Johnson, both of 2924 Lind, exchanged wedding vows May 5 in Central Baptist Church.
The bride is a daughter of Paul Ray Johnson of Calhoun, Ky., and Marla Johnson of 415 Valley View Road. The bridegroom is a son of Jason and Karen Boyd of 3314 Wynstone Drive.
The 3 p.m. ceremony was conducted by Ivan Greuter; the bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Maid of honor was Megan Altgilbers. Bridesmaids were Tara Johnson, sister of the bride, and Kelsey Schuette and Jen Summers.
Best man was Matt Hochgraber. Groomsmen were Josh Boyd and Matt Boyd, brothers of the bridegroom, and J.D. Summers.
Ushers were David Junk and Jerome Lee.
Flower girl was Kyra Johnson, daughter of the bride, and ring bearer was Nicholas Hochgraber.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner May 4 in the church. A reception began at 7 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Quincy High School and a 2011 graduate of John Wood Community College with an associate's degree in law enforcement. She is an assistant case manager at the YWCA of Quincy.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Quincy High School and earned an associate's degree in automotive business management in 2007 from Lincoln College of Technology in Indianapolis. He is a certified automotive technician and is employed by Dene Lambkin Hyundai as a service adviser and parts salesman.
