The engagement of Jill Elaine Klauser and Jacob Daniel Charlton, both of Quincy, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Eugene and Lorrie Klauser of Liberty. She graduated from Liberty High School in 2004, earned an associate's degree from John Wood Community College, and earned a certificate in radiologic science from Blessing Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 2009. Miss Klauser is a registered radiologic technologist at Blessing Hospital and the Quincy Medical Group.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Becky Charlton of Liberty. He is a 2004 graduate of Liberty High School and is a sous chef at the Quincy Country Club.

The couple will be married Nov. 17 in St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty.

Tony Baker recently watched a video of the 1991 Class A state championship game with his 11-year-old daughter. It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
