Kate Roberta Della Vedova and Jon David Kammerer of Hamilton were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at lakeside at Lake Hill Winery in Carthage.

The bride is a daughter of Glenda Stafford of Vail, Ariz., and the late Larry Stafford, and Steve Della Vedova of Albia, Iowa. The bridegroom is a son of John E. and Judith Kammerer of Hamilton.

The bride was given in marriage by her son, Hayden; the Rev. Bob Wagner officiated. Music was provided by Alex Culpepper, guitarist. Readers were the mothers of the bridal couple. Also participating were Karina Kammerer of Hamilton, niece of the bridegroom, bearer of the unity symbol; Cameron and Grant Liston of Knoxville, Iowa, nephews of the bride, escorted their grandmother; Madelynn Liston, niece of the bride, escorted her grandfather; and Lucas and Evan Kammerer, nephews of the bridegroom, escorted their grandparents.

Matron of honor was Katie Gilbert of Louisville, Ky.

Best man was Chad Gilpin of Hamilton.

Flower girls were Penelope Neal of Newton, Iowa, and Bridgette Liston of Knoxville, Iowa, nieces of the bride, and Katherine Kammerer of Oswego, niece of the bridegroom.

A rehearsal dinner was held Sept. 21 at the home of the bridal couple. A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the winery. On Sept. 23, a wedding brunch was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents.

The newlyweds are at home in Hamilton and plan a wedding trip at a later date.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Albia High School and a 2003 graduate of William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She is an elementary school physical education teacher in the Keokuk (Iowa) School District, and is a member of Keokuk PEO Chapter IG.

The bridegroom is a 1987 graduate of Hamilton High School, a 1995 graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with degrees in product design and art, and a 2012 graduate of the Southeastern Community College nursing program in Keokuk. He is owner/manufacturer of Jon Kammerer Guitars and Prototypes, and is a registered nurse. He served in the Army as a specialist, stationed in Germany, from 1987 to 1990. He is also a firefighter with the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department and is an emergency medical technician.

The bride was honored with a bridal shower in April, hosted by her sisters and sisters-in-law, Molly Dodd, Carey Liston, Emily Robinson, Heather Della Vedova and Danielle Della Vedova. She was also the honored guest at a luncheon in August, hosted by her PEO chapter.
