Thefts, burglaries

A car battery and Owl Bed Liners were taken from an unlocked garage in the 1400 block of North 12th between Oct. 29-Nov. 1.

Papers from a glovebox of a 1998 Toyota minivan were taken between Nov. 1-2 while the unlocked vehicle was parked in the 800 block of Spruce.

A jukebox inside Jed's Brew House, 1007 N. 18th, was damaged on Nov. 2. The front glass on the machine had been punched and damaged.

 

Vandalism

A sign for the Lincoln-Douglas Apartments, 101 N. Fourth, was damaged between Oct. 20-22.

Two tires on a Quincy woman's car were slashed while it was parked in the 1600 block of Locust on Nov. 27.

An unknown person drove through a yard on Wilmar Court at 6:43 p.m. Nov. 5 causing damage to the lawn.

Tires were slashed on a 1993 Jeep while it was parked in the 400 block of North 25th between Oct. 30-31.

Damage was done to property at Interstate Battery Center, 101 N. 48th, between Nov. 3-5.

Cooper heads down the hallway in Baldwin West for another day of school. He's focused. He's friendly. He's furry. Cooper, a golden doodle, is teacher Erin Armbruster's trained therapy dog, and his pawprints reach beyond just her classroom. "He helps out the students. He's a very good dog," fifth-grader Myles Cain said.
