Local veterans were treated to a free breakfast on Monday at Quincy's Hy-Vee stores in honor of Veterans Day.

"Hy-Vee treats veterans very nicely," said veteran Gerald Ebbing, who had breakfast at the 14th and Harrison store.

"It's a great thing to help the vets," said Zach Davis, a cook at Hy-Vee on Harrison. "It's the least we can do."
