Elaine and Wayne Weisheit

Elaine and Wayne Weisheit of 608 Van Buren are observing their 40th wedding anniversary today. They plan to mark the occasion with a donation to a local food bank.

The couple was married Nov. 18, 1972, at Central Baptist Church.

Mrs. Weisheit is the former Fern E. Maple, daughter of Ada Hunsaker of Quincy and Al Maple Sr. of Liberty. Mr. Weisheit is a son of the late Harry and Edna Weisheit.

They have six children and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Weisheit retired from Walter Chatten Co. He enjoys gardening and woodworking.

Mrs. Weisheit retired as marketing director of CRS in St. Louis. She enjoys baking and reading.

They are active members of St. James Lutheran Church and enjoy their grandchildren.
