John and Pamela Douglas

John and Pamela Douglas of 1035 Christopher Court celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Ireland.

Mr. Douglas and the former Pamela Long were married Nov. 20, 1987, in First Southern Baptist Church.

Mrs. Douglas is a daughter of Cecil and Pat Long of Pleasant Hill. Mr. Douglas is a son of the late J.B. and Phyllis Douglas of Hannibal, Mo.

They are the parents of Susan Douglas of Chicago, Kris Ann (Dr. Eric) Moghadamian of Lexington, Ky., and John Tyler Douglas of Normal. They have one grandchild.

Mr. Douglas retired as sergeant from the Quincy Police Department and is employed by the Quincy Housing Authority. He is a member of the Noon Kiwanis, Tri-States Lugnuts Car Club and Tri-States Civil War Round Table.

Mrs. Douglas is employed by Manchester Tank and enjoys reading, quilting and Saturday Sew Day.

They are members of Madison Park Christian Church and enjoy watching football together and target shooting.

Tony Baker recently watched a video of the 1991 Class A state championship game with his 11-year-old daughter. It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
