BLUFFS, Ill. — A train car derailed near Bluffs Sunday morning, closing Ill. 100 for more than four hours on Sunday.

The Scotts County Sheriff's Department and Illinois State Police District 20 responded to the scene at approximately 11:30 a.m. Illinois State Police District 20 Master Sgt. Tom Mavity said no one was injured during the derailment and he believed the train car that tipped was empty.

"No injuries, no chemical release, nothing like that," Mavity said.

Mavity was unsure how long it would take to clear Ill. 100.
