Salvation Army taking applications for Christmas assistance

The Salvation Army will be taking applications in Quincy for Christmas Food Baskets and Toy Town through Friday.

Applications can be made from 1 to 4 p.m. each day in the Worship Theater of the Kroc Center at 405 Vermont.

Applications for assistance in Hannibal, Mo., will be accepted through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon, and on Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 302 Broadway, in Hannibal.

Applicants should bring a photo ID, proof of income, proof of address, and a medical card or social security card for each child being registered. Applicants, who are approved for assistance, will receive an appointment date and time for distribution of their food basket and toys.
