Lewistown woman injured in accident Thursday

EWING, Mo. -- A Lewistown woman suffered minor injuries in a Thursday afternoon accident in Lewis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Kelsey L. Griffin, 20, of Lewistown, was westbound on Mo. 6 at Mo. 156 at 1:37 p.m. when the vehicle turned into the path of an eastbound 2004 Freightliner driven by Charles M. Golden, 57, of Kirksville. The vehicle was struck by the Freightliner.

Griffin was transported by private conveyance to seek treatment.

The patrol was assisted by the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, Lewis County Ambulance and Ewing Fire and Rescue.
