Madison Harmon's intensity garnered good results for the West Hancock girls basketball team.
With the Titans holding on to a six-point lead after three quarters, Harmon turned up the defensive heat en route to a 59-39 victory Saturday night in Fort Madison, Iowa.
"She was the key to the whole second half," West Hancock coach Adam Brumbaugh said. "She picked up her defense."
The senior guard had seven steals --most coming late in the game -- along with six points for the Titans (2-2).
Her defensive pressure resulted into a 24-point fourth quarter for the Titans that put the game out of reach.
"Her teammates were able to get steals because of her pressure," Brumbaugh said. "She would see open teammates and pass to them for a layup."

Quincy Notre Dame 68, Sacred Heart-Griffin 46: The Lady Raiders used an 11-0 run during a span of 1 minute, 15 seconds of the first quarter to take control for a victory at The Pit.
