U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder joins gun control push for unarmed victims

To The Herald-Whig:

Recently, The Herald-Whig printed a short article about Eric Holder's comments regarding the reduction of crime in East St. Louis. Mr. Holder stated all the answers, "won't come from Washington, D.C."

Mr. Holder also says residents have to help. Isn't Mr. Holder an advocate of disarming the general public? Doesn't he realize criminals will never give up their guns. When guns are outlawed, only criminals will have guns! Doesn't he realize Illinois residents overwhelmingly support concealed carry?

The best way for Washington to help the general public is to simply get out of the way, start listening and put the rights of the general public above the rights of criminals.
