PHOTO & VIDEO FEATURE: Cardinals announcer Mike Shannon visits with veterans

Mike Shannon, a former player and current radio announcer for the St. Louis Cardinals, visited with veterans at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy on Friday.

This is the third year that Shannon has visited the veterans, bringing Cardinal hats and other souvenir gifts.

In the photo, Shannon, right, sits down to chat with James Burenside in Elmore Infirmary at the Veterans Home.
