JWCC offers English classes starting Jan. 15 in Perry

John Wood Community College's Agricultural Education Center near Perry is offering two English classes. The three-credit classes start Jan. 15 and meet through March 8 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 10:15 a.m.

Writing Skills (ENG 099) is a review of grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and an introduction to paragraph structure and essay writing. The course is ideal for those wanting to refresh their basic writing skills.

Rhetoric and Composition I (ENG 101) is a college level introductory course and a required for most college level programs.

Cost for each class is $399 for in-district residents. To register call (217) 236-4711 or (217) 641-4558 by Jan. 8. Financial aid may be available for those who qualify.
