Miss Jill Mackenzie Duesterhaus and Joshua Daniel Venvertloh exchanged wedding vows Sept. 22 in St. Peter Catholic Church in Quincy.

The bride, of 964 N. 2450th Ave., Mendon, is a daughter of Barbara Duesterhaus of 3212 Lawrence Road and Daryl Duesterhaus of 964 N. 2450th Ave., Mendon. The bridegroom, of 2048 Hwy. 336, Mendon, is a son of Ronald and Karen Venvertloh of 1121 N. 2100th Ave., Mendon.

The 1 p.m. ceremony was conducted by Monsignor Leo Enlow; the bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Erin Frazier of Ursa, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Melinda Brown of Creve Coeur, Mo., and Lainey Brown of Quincy, cousins of the bride; Katie Venvertloh of Mendon, sister of the bridegroom; and Cassie Rosson of Ursa.

Best man was Jeff Venvertloh of Mendon, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Brad Duncan of Ursa; Andy Frazier of Ursa, brother-in-law of the bride; and Bret Duesterhaus of Loraine and Blake Duesterhaus of Quincy, brothers of the bride.

Ushers were Brad Venvertloh, Zach Wellman and Tyler Wellman.

Ring bearers were Ryan and Brennan Venvertloh of Mendon, nephews of the bridegroom.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the Quincy Boat Club, hosted by the bridal couple's families. A reception began at 6 p.m. in the Sullivan and Son Auction and Event Center in Carthage.

The newlyweds are at home in Mendon and plan a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, in January.

The bride graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School in 2005 and from Western Illinois University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is a third-grade teacher at St. Peter Catholic School.

The bridegroom graduated from Unity High School in Mendon in 2004 and from John Wood Community College in 2006 with an associate's degree in business management. He is part-owner of Corrigan Farms.

The bridal couple was honored with bridal showers hosted by family and friends.
