After honeymooning in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thomas Steitz are at home in St. Louis.

Mr. Steitz and the former Miss Keriann Alissa Ward, both of St. Louis, were married at 3 p.m. Oct. 13 in Quincy University Chapel in Quincy.

The bride is a daughter of Janet Ward and a daughter and stepdaughter of Brian and Cheryl Ward of Quincy. The bridegroom is a son of Thomas and Ann Steitz of Fenton, Mo.

The bride was given in marriage by her father; the Rev. Fernand Cheri officiated. Music was provided by Lana Anderson, pianist, and Rose Ruzicka, flutist. Readers were Matthew Amen of St. Louis and Jenna Miller of Chicago.

Maid of honor was Caitlin Ward of Des Moines, Iowa, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kelly Coldren of Columbia, Mo., Kelsey Ott of St. Louis and Jenna Steitz of Fenton, sister of the bridegroom.

Best man was Jacob Long of Kansas City, Mo. Groomsmen were Daniel Steitz of Columbia, brother of the bridegroom, and Stewart Norman of St. Louis.

Ushers were Matthew Amen of St. Louis and Zak Sheeder of Des Moines.

The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 12 in the Pier Restaurant. A reception began at 7 p.m. in Winter's West Wing.

The bride graduated from Quincy High School in 2006 and from the University of Missouri in December 2009. She is employed in human resources at Proficient Inc.

The bridegroom graduated from Rockwood Summit High School in 2005 and from the University of Missouri in May 2009. He is office manager at Lou Fusz Toyota.

Cooper, a golden doodle, is teacher Erin Armbruster's trained therapy dog, and his pawprints reach beyond just her classroom. "He helps out the students. He's a very good dog," fifth-grader Myles Cain said.
