Miss Shawnee Joan Dickerson and Cody Allen Deters, both of Hamilton, were married at 2 p.m. Oct. 20 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Quincy. Monsignor Michael Kuse officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Jeff and Marci Patterson of 1833 S. 30th. The bridegroom is a son of Allen and Annette Deters of Hamilton.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Music was provided by Diane Foley of Warsaw, organist, and Daniela Harris of Hamilton, soloist. Also participating were Brian Fee of Quincy, uncle of the bridegroom, and Mike Patterson of Springfield, uncle of the bride, gift bearers; Sister Mary Samuella, O.P., of Springfield, great-aunt of the bride, and Debbie Platt of Quincy, cousin of the bridegroom, Eucharistic ministers; and Sister Mary Samuella, O.P., and Theresa Reichert of Quincy, aunt of the bridegroom, readers.
Matron of honor was Jenny Knapp of Washington. Bridesmaids were Emily Deters of Fowler, sister of the bridegroom; Chelsea Hopp and Heather Adcock, both of Hamilton; and Chrissy Jamerson of Warsaw. Junior bridesmaid was Erika Fee of Quincy, cousin and godchild of the bridegroom.
Best man was Jesse Whitaker of Anchorage, Alaska. Groomsmen were Robb Bell of Hamilton; Josh Smith and Nick Jamerson, both of Warsaw; and Will Douglas of Quincy. Honorary groomsman was Kevin "Bubba" Fee of Quincy, uncle of the bridegroom. Junior groomsman was Jimmie Patterson of Quincy, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Anthony Hopp and Adam Sewell, both of Hamilton.
Flower girl was Avery Adcock of Hamilton, godchild of the bridal couple, and ring bearer was Evan Smith of Warsaw.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's parents Oct. 19 in the Park Bench/Cellar 21. A reception began at 7 p.m. in the Ambiance.
The newlyweds are at home in Fowler and plan a wedding trip at a later date.
The bride graduated from Hamilton High School in 2008. She has a certified nursing assistant license, and attends Quincy University/Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing.
The bridegroom graduated from Hamilton High School in 2006 and is employed by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
A bridal shower was hosted by the bridegroom's aunts July 29 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, and a bachelorette party/shower was hosted by the bridegroom's sister, Emily Deters, Oct. 13 in Hamilton.
