Thefts, burglaries

Grill and tools were taken from one of two units at Vonderhaar Mini Storage, 2821 Wismann Lane. Two units had their locks cut off, according to storage unit owners who checked on Nov. 26.

A residence in the 200 block of Locust was entered and items were taken sometime between Nov. 25-26.

A laptop computer was taken from a residence in the 600 block of North Eighth on Dec. 11.

A resident of a house in the 700 block of Payson Avenue heard noises in her residence and upon investigation a subject fled out the front door on Dec. 10.

A ferret valued at $150 was taken from Petco store, 405 N. 32nd, at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

Cash totaling $81 was taken from a dresser drawer in an apartment in the 1700 block of Locust on Dec. 8.

Cooper, a golden doodle, is teacher Erin Armbruster's trained therapy dog, and his pawprints reach beyond just her classroom. "He helps out the students. He's a very good dog," fifth-grader Myles Cain said.
