Police: Man with a gun arrested early Wednesday

Police said a man with a gun was arrested early Wednesday morning after officers responded to a call in the 900 block of State in Quincy.

At 1:18 a.m., officers found a man in an alley while responding to the call. During a search, officers said they found the man had a loaded handgun in his pocket.

Joshua T. Coonrod, 26, of 3127 Center Drive, was taken into custody on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon. He was lodged in the Adams County Jail pending his first court appearance.
