PAYSON, Ill. -- A Plainville driver suffered major injuries in a rollover accident at 1:56 a.m. Wednesday southeast of Payson.

Eric S. Flesner, 26, was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reported that Flesner was driving a 1992 Chevrolet 2500 pickup west on North 300th Avenue a half-mile east of Ill. 96 when he ran off the north side of the road and into a ditch. The truck then came out of the ditch, crossed the road and went into a ditch on the south side of the road, where it rolled and came to rest in a field, sheriff's deputies said.

Flesner was ticketed on a charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Assisting were the Adams County Ambulance Service and the Payson Fire Department.
