Tornadoes win Carrollton Tournament opener behind Craven's 20 points

CARROLLTON, Ill. — Dryden Craven sank four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points to lead the Griggsville-Perry boys basketball team to a 68-42 win over Brussels on Wednesday in the first round of the Carrollton Holiday Tournament.

Down 14-11 after the first quarter, the fifth-seeded Tornadoes (2-8) outscored No. 4 Brussels 20-3 in the second quarter to take control. Craven made two of his 3-pointers during that second quarter, and Matthew Kennedy scored six of his 18 points during those eight minutes.

Dakota Schulte scored 14 points to lead Brussels.
