BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — A man sought in connection with a fatal stabbing in Marshall, Mo., was arrested Thursday night in Clarksville.

Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte reports that Terry Thompson, 45, was taken into custody at 8:40 p.m. at 119 North First Street in Clarksville. Thompson was being sought by the Marshall Police Department after a woman was stabbed to death on Wednesday.

Korte credited a Clarksville resident with reporting Thompson’s location after learning of the investigation. Marshall officials notified the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Pike County Sheriff.

Two troopers and two deputies went to the residence and took Thompson into custody. Marshall police officers arrived soon after midnight and took custody of Thompson.
