Dan and Ginny Miller

Dan and Ginny Miller of 2737 S. 24th celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Washington, D.C., in August and a family dinner Saturday in the Patio, hosted by their children.

Mr. Miller and the former Ginny Venvertloh were married Dec. 29, 1962, in St. John Catholic Church.

Mrs. Miller is a daughter of the late Henry and Christine Venvertloh. Mr. Miller is a son of the late E.J. and Catherine Miller.

They are the parents of Amy and Steve Looten and Julie and Jeff Wilson, all of Quincy, and John and Erin Miller of Crown Point, Ind. They have nine grandchildren.

Mr. Miller, a carpenter, retired from Rose Construction and the Quincy Public Schools. He is an avid hunter and a member of Ducks Unlimited, the Wild Turkey Federation and the Mississippi Valley Hunters and Fishermen's Association.

Mrs. Miller retired from the Blessing Hospital Department of Volunteer Services. She is board president of Adams County Home and Community Education and a member of the HCE Quilt and Book clubs.

They are members of St. Peter Catholic Church and are both Blessing Hospital volunteers.
