MADISON, Mo. -- A Cairo teen was injured at 11 p.m. Saturday in a one-car accident on Route K 8.5 miles east of Cairo.

Brittany B. Eads, 17, was taken by Randolph County Ambulance to Moberly Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Eads was driving a 1999 Toyota Corolla west on Route K when it began skidding out of control, crossed the center line, traveled off the south edge of the road and overturned. The car came to rest upright in the ditch, police said.

Also assisting were the Randolph and Monroe County sheriff departments, and the Madison Volunteer Fire Department.
