LIMA, Ill. -- A Loraine man was arrested Sunday night and more arrests are pending after a string of related incidents this weekend in Mendon and Lima.

Authorities say a 42-year-old Loraine man and three other subjects went to a Lima residence at midnight Sunday looking for two people they had encountered during an earlier altercation at the Northside Bar in Mendon. The four did not find the two people they were looking for at the residence on the south side Lima but did find a male in the home. Authorities say the four subjects threatened the man with a knife and coerced him into giving information on the whereabouts of the people they were looking for.

No one was injured but two young children and their mother were inside the residence while the four threatened the man outside the house. The mother called 911.

Stacey Joe Mayfield, 42, of 2572 E. 1300th, Loraine, was lodged in the Adams County on charges of suspicion of mob action, intimidation and aggravated assault.
