The Adams County Health Department has received inquiries from local restaurants regarding individuals posing as health inspectors.

Health department officials warn that before allowing anyone, including inspectors, to enter your facility, it is important to verify the identity of the individual.

Any environmental health staff conducting inspections wears both a picture identification card and a shirt with the Adams County Health Department logo embroidered on the front.

Businesses concerned about an inspection or with questions should call the Adams County Health Department at 222-8440.
