Peg and Gene Simon

Peg and Gene Simon of Missoula, Mont., formerly of Quincy, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a small family gathering May 5 in Colorado. They also celebrated during the holidays with a family trip to Hawaii.

The couple was married May 5, 1962, in the First United Methodist Church in Watseka.

Mrs. Simon is the former Peggy Postlewaite, daughter of the late James and Marie Postlewaite. Mr. Simon is a son of the late Eldon and Beryl Simon.

They are the parents of Christopher Simon and his wife, Jessica, of Golden, Colo., and Paul Simon and his wife, Katy, of Missoula. They have four grandchildren.

Mr. Simon retired from Chaddock and Mrs. Simon retired from the Quincy Public Schools.

The Simons both grew up in Illinois and now live in Colorado and Montana. Their mailing address is 4006 Stonecrest Drive, Missoula, MT 59802.

The couple met while attending a United Methodist Church camp at Lake Bloomington.
