The engagement of Samantha Manto and Brian Morrell, both of St. Louis, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Samuel and Barbara Manto of Chicago. She graduated from Conant High School in Hoffman Estates in 2005 and from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston with a bachelor's degree in finance in 2009 and a master of business administration degree in 2010. Miss Manto is a financial analyst at Emerson Electric.

The prospective bridegroom, son of Timothy and Amy Morrell of Quincy, is a 2005 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology in 2009 from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston and will graduate in May from Washington University in St. Louis with a doctorate in physical therapy.

A May 26 wedding is planned in St. Louis.
