Culver-Stockton College graduates

CANTON – Twenty-seven students graduated from Culver-Stockton College in December at the end of the fall 2012 semester.

Area students completing their degree include:

Anna Martin, history education from Palmyra;

Cheri Provancha, criminal justice major from Perry;

Kayla Scott, business major from Ewing;

Cory Shultz, physical education major from Rutledge;

Stevi Simmons, finance major from Canton;

Dallas Spurgeon, criminal justice from Canton;

Jessica Yagyagan, elementary education major from Palmyra

Matthew Deardorff, religion and philosophy major from Versailles, Ill.;

Tina Evans, psychology and criminal justice major from Quincy, Ill.;

Kirsten Johnston, elementary education major from Memphis, Mo.;

Samantha Unmisig, accounting and finance major from Quincy, Ill.

The North Shelby community was rocked when four students were in a car crash on Sept. 24. North Shelby student Joshua Kennison was pronounced dead at the scene, while freshman football player Jakob Pratt died Oct. 11. The Raiders know it is a journey to move past the tragedy that struck their community over the last month, but they know they can do things to help the process.
