College game preview: Kentucky Wesleyan at QU women

Scouting the Panthers: Kentucky Wesleyan won its fourth straight game last Saturday, beating Missouri-St. Louis 82-64. Lauren Goffinet scored a game-high 19 points. A 5-foot-11 senior guard, Goffinet is averaging a team-best 12.3 points per game and is shooting 50 percent from 3-point range. Karly Rhoads, a 5-11 junior guard, is supplying 11.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. T'Essence Phelps, a 5-10 junior center, leads the team at 7.3 rebounds per game to go along with 8.8 points per game.

KWC leads the league in 3-point percentage (41.1 percent) but is last in field-goal percentage defense (43.1 percent).

More time for Beebe: QU freshman guard Carly Beebe continues to see more minutes off the bench. She played just 19 minutes total in her first four games but since is averaging 17.2 minutes per game. During that six-game stretch, she's averaging six points and 3.7 rebounds per game

The series: Quincy leads the all-time series 19-13.
