PALMYRA, Mo. — Law enforcement officials are continuing their efforts to find a Palmyra man who is believed to be a danger to himself and might need medical attention.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Christopher B. Witt, 21, has not been heard from since he sent a text message Saturday. Deputies responded to a residence on County Road 327 in Palmyra, but Witt was not home. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is also involved in the search, which has included the use of an airplane and helicopter.
Witt is still believed to be in possession of a red Ford Fusion passenger car with the Missouri license plate number DG1-M6X. The car's temporary spare tire is being used.
Area residents are advised to check any outbuildings on their property for Witt.
Anyone with information on Witt's whereabouts should call Sheriff's Department investigators Tyler Wheeler or Gloria Hobbs at (573) 769-2077 or (573) 221-6400.
