The Palmyra girls basketball team captured third place with a 60-43 victory over Clark County Friday night in the Tony Lenzini Tournament at Palmyra, Mo.
Katee Hinkle led the Panthers' attack with 17 points, including three 3-pointers.
Hinkle was limited to two points in the first half, then rebounded by scoring 11 in the third.
Lexie Lossen added 15 points for Palmyra (12-5) and Alexis Van Nostrand chipped in 13.
Megan Oilar led Clark County with 11 points and Kaylee Roberts added 10.
Palmyra stifled Clark County (9-8) in the first quarter, holding the Lady Indians to two points.
In the consolation championship, Sarah Plant and Casey Hinkle scored 13 points apiece to lead Highland to a 49-37 victory over Mark Twain.
Mackenzie Grossman scored 13 points and Kyley Barnes added 10 for Mark Twain (3-11).
North Shelby Tournament: Scotland County held North Shelby to five points in the first half en route to a 40-27 victory in the third-place game.
Megan Creek led the Tigers (12-3) with 11 points and Beth Rader added 10.
Elizabeth Linberger led North Shelby (7-9) with 13 points.
Central-Southeastern 36, Petersburg Porta 30: Leading by two points after the first quarter, the Lady Panthers went on a 10-2 run in the second quarter to break open the game and take a 21-11 halftime lead en route to the victory in Augusta, Ill.
Dakota Limkemann and Torie Conover scored seven points apiece for C-SE (7-12).
