Grover and Viola GammCelebrating 65 years of marriage (Jan. 25, 1948)

Mr. and Mrs. Grover A. Gamm of 26058 State Hwy. Z, Ewing, Mo., will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 27 in Durham Baptist Church. Their children and grandchildren will host the event. Family and friends are invited; the couple requests no gifts.

A family dinner will also be held in their honor Jan. 26 in the Pier Restaurant, hosted by their children.

Mr. Gamm and the former Viola M. Eades were married Jan. 25, 1948, in Durham Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gamm is a daughter of the late John and V. Pearl Childress Eades. Mr. Gamm is a son of the late Grover and E. Pearl Hackamack Gamm.

They are the parents of Mrs. Gerry (Elaine) Rathbun and Mrs. Loretta Feldkamp of Maywood, Mo., and Mrs. John (Deborah) Scott of Jefferson City, Mo. They have seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The Gamms are retired farmers and Mr. Gamm serves on several community boards in the area.

They are members of Dover Baptist Church in rural LaGrange, Mo.

Cooper, a golden doodle, is teacher Erin Armbruster's trained therapy dog, and his pawprints reach beyond just her classroom. "He helps out the students.
