Mr. and Mrs. Lance Niekamp are at home at 2628 Cherry after honeymooning in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Mr. Niekamp and the former Miss Shannon Barnes exchanged wedding vows Nov. 10 in St. Francis Catholic Church.
The bride is a daughter of Tom and Joan Barnes of 2528 Chestnut. The bridegroom, of 2628 Cherry, is a son of Rex and Betty Niekamp of 2735 Parkwood Drive.
The Rev. James Wheeler conducted the 1 p.m. ceremony; the bride was given in marriage by her father. Music was provided by Ralph Fairchild and Amy Walker, vocalists, and Laura Kammerer, organist. Readers were Rich Lentz, uncle and godfather of the bride, and Susan Herrick, aunt and godmother of the bridegroom.
Matron of honor was Ronda Lentz of Quincy, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Niekamp of Quincy, sister of the bridegroom, and Katie McFarland of Chicago.
Best man was Lucas Niekamp of Indianapolis, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Ryan Barnes of Quincy, brother of the bride, and Brad Baum of Chicago, cousin of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Jason Herrick and Cory Herrick, both of Chicago, and Vince Niekamp of Mendon, all cousins of the bridegroom.
Flower girl was Rylie Manchik of Kansas, cousin of the bridegroom, and ring bearers were Johnny and Izak Lentz of Quincy, cousins of the bride.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Nov. 9 in the Patio. A reception was held from 7 p.m. to midnight in the Knights of Columbus Father McGivney Hall.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School, a 2010 graduate of John Wood Community College, and is pursuing a court reporting degree at the College of Court Reporting in Hobart, Ind. She is a part-time nanny.
The bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and a 2011 graduate of JWCC with an associate of applied science degree in computer-aided design. He is a mechanical layout designer at Hollister-Whitney Elevator Corp.
