The Peristyle in New Orleans City Park was the setting for the Nov. 3 wedding of Erika Babat and Alex Entrup, both of New Orleans.

The bride is a daughter of Robert and Joanne Babat of North Kingstown, R.I. The bridegroom is a son of Matt and Kathy Entrup of Quincy.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents during the 5 p.m. ceremony conducted by Rabbi Ethan Adler. Readers were Clare Entrup of Louisville, Ky., sister of the bridegroom, and Shana Campbell, aunt of the bride. An Irish Blessing was given by William Burns, uncle of the bride, and the second line was led by the Jazzman Brass Band.

The bride was attended by her sister, Leah Babat of Cranstown, R.I. Bridesmaids were Emily Price of Shannock, R.I.; Clare Entrup; Michelle Babat of North Kingstown, sister of the bride; and Heather Hoffman of Middletown, R.I.

Best man was Luke Entrup of Petaluma, Calif., brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Brian Myers of Portland, Ore.; Chris Bechler of Washington, D.C.; Eric Entrup of Quincy, cousin of the bridegroom; and David Babat of North Kingstown, brother of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held Nov. 2 at Ralph's on the Park, hosted by the bridegroom's parents. A reception immediately followed the ceremony at Parkview Terrace in New Orleans.

After honeymooning in Iceland, the newlyweds are at home in New Orleans.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of North Kingstown High School, a 2006 special education graduate of Rhode Island College, and a 2010 graduate of the University of Vermont with a master's degree in social work. She is a social worker at McDonogh 15 Primary in New Orleans.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School, a 2002 environmental studies and philosophy graduate of the University of St. Thomas, and is pursuing a master's degree in biology at the University of New Orleans. He is a fire and stewardship technician at the Nature Conservancy.

A bridal brunch was held at 622 Solomon Place, and a brunch was held Sunday morning at Marriott, 555 Canal St., both in New Orleans.
