Kelly Winking capped a third-quarter rally that allowed the Monroe City girls basketball team to earn a 53-46 home win over Clark County in a Clarence Cannon Conference game Tuesday night.
The Lady Indians led 20-16 at halftime before the Lady Panthers rallied in third quarter, outscoring Clark County 15-10. They took a 31-30 lead on Winking's basket.
Monroe City (15-3, 2-1 CCC) sealed the win by making 10 of its 12 free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter. Kailey Roberts led Clark County (9-10, 1-2) with 10 points.
Palmyra 55, Highland 29: Katee Hinkle poured in 25 points -- including five 3-pointers -- to spark the Lady Panthers to a win.
Highland (3-13) led 12-7 after the first quarter, but Palmyra (13-5) held the Lady Cougars scoreless in the second quarter to take a 25-12 halftime lead. Kristen Bringer led Highland with eight points.
Fulton 55, Hannibal 47: After a strong first half, the Lady Pirates were unable to keep pace with the Lady Hornets in a North Central Missouri Conference game on the road.
Hannibal (6-9) led 28-21 after the first half, but were unable to keep up with Fulton in the second half. Lauren Holliday led the Lady Pirates with 14 points, anded Kylee Anderson added 13.
Marion County 61, Atlanta 19: Kaelyn Spratt finished with a game-high 19 points to lead the Lady Mustangs to a home win.
Marion County (11-4) opened the game on a 19-4 run and led 39-10 at halftime. Sadie Pollard supplied 15 points for Marion County.
Knox County 53, North Shelby 35: The Lady Eagles used a big third quarter to win on the road.
Knox County led 21-19 at halftime and took control by outscoring North Shelby 25-2 in the third quarter. Lauren Dale led the Lady Eagles with 13 points, including 10 in the third quarter. North Shelby (7-9) was led by Elizabeth Linberger, who finished with 12 points.
