The Quincy Notre Dame girls basketball team received the No. 2 ranking in Illinois Class 3A in the Associated Press poll released Tuesday.
The Lady Raiders (15-0) share that spot with Morgan Park. Montini remained the unanimous No. 1. Montini is coming off of a 51-36 win Monday over Whitney Young, the top-ranked team in 4A. QND, which has won 65 straight games against in-state competition, was No. 3 in 2A last week.
The Lady Raiders are the only area girls or boys team ranked. The Unity girls received votes in Class 1A. Receiving votes in their respective classes on the boys side were Quincy High School, Quincy Notre Dame, West Hancock and Payson Seymour.
