Thefts, burglaries

Compact disc player was taken from an unlocked car while it was parked in the 500 block of Cherry on Jan. 12.

Three pieces of luggage were taken from a 1994 General Motors car while parked on Sharon Drive on Dec. 31.

Tupperware container containing change was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1800 block of Hampshire on Jan. 13.

Cash totaling $88 was taken from a residence on Diana Drive on Jan. 7.

Saxophone was taken from a residence in the 2700 block of Lind between Oct. 1-Nov. 23.

Illinois license plate JULES2 was taken from a vehicle in Quincy between Jan. 12-13.

Woman's 26-inch blue Next bicycle was taken from outside a residence in the 200 block of Cherry on Jan. 8.

Cash and loose change were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1300 block of South 12th between Jan. 11-12.

Eighty dollars was taken from a Missouri man's wallet while at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2600 Maine, the morning of Jan. 8.

Aluminum ladder was taken from the backyard of a residence in the 500 block of Adams between Jan. 9-11.

 

Counterfeit money

Two $20 counterfeit bills were found among receipts at First Bankers Trust, 1201 Broadway, at noon on Jan. 8.

 

Vandalism

Rear window of a car was broken out while it was parked in the 1400 block of Lind on Jan. 11.

Left taillight was broken on a car while it was parked in the 1700 block of Chestnut between Jan. 10-11.

Front window of business at 3915 Maine was broken between Jan. 7-8.

Rock was thrown through the rear window of a 1997 General Motors truck while it was parked in the 500 block of Adams on Jan. 11.

Right side window of a car was broken out while it was parked in the 100 block of North Eighth between Jan. 10-12.

A 1998 Honda parked in the 900 block of Hampshire on Jan. 13 had tires slashed and two windows at the owner's residence were broken by rocks.
