One of 15 businesses fails alcohol compliance check in Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Only one of 15 businesses failed in an undercover alcohol compliance check conducted Thursday by Hannibal police.

The Ten Pin Alley at 306 S. Sixth sold alcohol to the minor working undercover for the Hannibal Police Department.

Found in compliance Thursday night were Ayerco at 1208 Mark Twain Ave., Aldi at 4419 McMasters, BP at 624 Mark Twain Ave., Casey's at 3827 Hwy. M, Dollar General at 216 Huck Finn Shopping Center, Grand Rio at 206 Steamboat Bend, Pick-A-Dilly at 2610 St. Mary's, 3531 Market and 1329 Mark Twain Ave., Save A Lot at 1222 Broadway, Brick Oven at 205 Center, Wine Shoppe at 303 N. Main, Dino Mart at 2000 Hwy. 6 and Walgreens at 455 Hwy. 61 South.

It had been several years since Baker, an all-stater as a senior at Pittsfield High School, had seen the game. "I sure was awful skinny, and those shorts were awful short," he said with a laugh. "But it was neat to watch. It's kind of a blur, but I can remember plays that were called in every game. It's so surreal."
