A Louisiana driver sustained minor injuries when her car struck the rear of a trailer at 8 a.m. Monday on U.S. 61 at Pike County Road 310.

Rebecca C. Wilkinson, 71, was taken by Pike County Ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Wilkinson was driving a 1997 Ford Thunderbird west and failed to yield at a designated sign and struck the tow unit of a southbound 2013 Volvo tractor. The truck driver, Scott D. Strutz, 45, of Cambridge, Iowa, was not injured.

Police said both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
