Vandalism

A heavy object was thrown through the back window of a 1990 Chevrolet while it was parked in the 2200 block of Sycamore on Jan. 10.

The front windows of Harvey's Furniture, 1900 N. 12th, were shot and damaged between Jan. 25-28.

Three vehicles and building at Bob Oberling Used Cars, 2731 N. 12th, were damaged with paintballs between Jan. 23-24.

 

Thefts, burglaries

Frozen meat, a green duffel bag and a red Milwaukee brand canvas bag were taken from an unlocked garage in the 600 block of Spruce between Jan. 17-18.

A toolbox was taken from a Quincy University property at 1901 N. 18th between Jan. 22-23. Forced entry was found.

A brass cutting torch gauge and Craftsman toolbox were taken from a garage in the 1300 block of Chestnut between Jan. 22-24.

A purse, phone and $20 were taken from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Lind. The purse was later recovered at 635 Lind but the cash and phone have not been recovered.

A package delivered by UPS containing boots, shorts, shirt and socks was taken from a front porch of a residence in the 600 block of North Eighth between Jan. 8-19.

Medication was taken from a residence in the 1200 block of North 11th on Jan. 15.
