Kenneth J. and Betty R. Balzer

Kenneth J. and Betty R. Balzer of 2176 N. 900th Ave., Liberty, will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 17 in Liberty Christian Church in Liberty. Their children will host the event. Family and friends are invited.

Mr. Balzer and the former Betty Bent were married Feb. 16, 1963, in First Christian Church in Camp Point.

Mrs. Balzer is a daughter of the late Orion and Florence Bent. Mr. Balzer is a son of the late Philip and Rosalee Marie Balzer.

They are the parents of Rick (Jeanine) Balzer of Colchester, Mike (Sue) Balzer of Liberty and Beth (Tim) Lee of Camp Point. They have eight grandchildren.

Mr. Balzer is a retired farmer. He served on the Adams County Farm Bureau Board and enjoys golf.

Mrs. Balzer retired as a secretary from Country Financial in Liberty. She enjoys scrapbooking and reading.

They attend Liberty Christian Church and enjoy attending their grandchildren's activities.
