Penny Prigge of Ewing injured when car slides off road

DURHAM, Mo. -- A Ewing woman was injured in a one-car accident at 10:25 p.m. Saturday on U.S, 61 a mile east of Durham.

Penny S. Prigge, 51, was taken by Lewis County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Prigge was driving a 2005 Ford Focus east on U.S. 61 when the car slid off the right side of the highway and struck a fence.

Assisting were the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, and Ewing Fire and Rescue.
