Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mast of 4808 Ellington Road marked their 60th wedding anniversary with a German party Feb. 1 at the Quincy Country Club. On Feb. 2, the couple enjoyed a Clydesdale-drawn carriage ride to Quincy University Chapel, where 60 white doves were released before the 4 p.m. Mass. A dinner reception was held at the Quincy Country Club and a fireworks display ended the evening.

Mr. Mast and the former Joan Ruth Boge were married Jan. 31, 1953, in St. Peter Church.

Mrs. Mast is a daughter of the late Ray and Geraldine Weber Boge. Mr. Mast is a son of the late Henry and Ida Talken Mast.

Before their retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Mast were in business together for more than 40 years, operating Master Foundry Inc. at 36th and Wisman Lane. They also raise and show Tennessee walking horses and release white doves for weddings, funerals and special occasions.

The couple met during their last year of high school; they were both in the distributive education class. They were decorating a float for homecoming.
